Compton House Bed & Breakfast - Ashbourne (Derbyshire)

It was attractive, neat and with comfy bed.

All in all great value. Everything was perfect, accommodating staff, LOVELY views over the garden. The breakfast was varied and satisfactory, there was lots of food to chose from. It was in an incredible location with Ashbourne Tunnel nearby....  

This is an original place, with central location and attractive rooms. The staff is exceptional, as well as host. It is set in a lovely area, minutes from a national park and a tower.

Compton house bed & breakfast is such a cozy spot. It's just a short walk to the town center with plenty of places to eat and a sainsbury's right behind. Jane were really good too help us with local tips. David's full english breakfast was...  

We had an enjoyable stay, particularly loving the delicious full English breakfast and the cozy room with a tea/coffee-making station. The off-road parking was a bonus too!

The decor screamed dated, with elements that felt stuck in the past and could use a significant refresh to come up to modern standards. The breakfast timing was a bit too early, especially on a Sunday, which might not suit those looking for a leisurely start. The shower pressure didn't meet my preferences for a more powerful experience, but it was still serviceable overall.

Rooms were super cozy, and the secure parking was a lifesaver. Plus, the location is perfect for exploring the area.

Great Location with Enormous Breakfast!

The breakfast options were good and filling, fueling our day exploring the area. Conveniently situated near shops and cafés, perfect for quick meals. A must-try are the local takeaways-great for a late dinner after a day of adventures!

The location is perfect, just a short walk to the town center. The parking was secure, a plus for peace of mind. I stayed in a Double Room Ground Floor, perfect for my needs. The room was clean, and I appreciated the selection of herbal teas. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options including a fantastic full English. Jane was friendly and genuinely helpful with local tips. The common areas, particularly the lounge, could use some dusting and a refresh. Some seating options seemed a bit less accessible than ideal. I left feeling satisfied but felt a little more attention to detail in maintenance would go a long way.

Clean room, comfortable ensuite, with a lovely selection of toiletries, made our overnight stay enjoyable, and the breakfast was a good experience with plenty of options and personal service.

The room size felt cramped for two people!!! Noise from the main road was disruptive!!! The bathroom facilities could use more space and modern amenities!!!

We had a spacious family room with comfy beds and a nice selection of herbal teas-perfect after a long day out.

The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious every morning. The hosts were friendly and really helpful with local recommendations. The location was excellent, just a short walk to town 😊
